Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2014: from mere products to NICE experiences!

Copenhagen Fashion Summit has come to an end also this year with great results in terms of networking, new ideas and possible solutions to make the fashion industry more sustainable.

The 3-day event for the participating students started with the workshops of Youth Fashion Summit on April 22-23 2014.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design, KEA - Copenhagen School of Design & Technology and the Danish Fashion Institute gave us a warm welcome.

Dilys Williams, Director of Centre for Sustainable Fashion at London College of Fashion, managed brilliantly the team of facilitators throughout the different workshops aiming at defining the challenges, solutions, pitfalls, stakeholder path etc..etc...

Of course Milano Fashion Institute was there as well!

The weather in Copenhagen was great, so during the breaks you could see the more than 100 international students from more than 20 design and business schools networking in the garden.

2 days of intense work brought to very interesting "demands" to the fashion industry.

"We demand nothing but state reality: we give 2 get"

"We demand decision makers to re-think the role of a fashion designer"

"We demand you to be brave and stop business secrecy"

"We demand world leaders to help us build a critical society"

"We demand the industry to re-organize into collaborating competence clusters"

"We demand the industry, government and civil society to create a fashion democracy"

"We demand the fashion industry to enable us wearing experiences instead of garments"
