Business Idea Competition in Fashion: LAST DAYS

LAST MINUTE UPDATE:
The SDA Bocconi Business Idea Competition in Fashion deadline for submitting your responsible business ideas has been postponed to Thursday June 20 at noon.

Becoming a successful entrepreneur in nowadays global fashion, luxury and lifestyle industries requires knowledge, talent, hard work, energy, intuition and, of course, some luck!

The top 15 winners of the business idea competition will be admitted to the 3 days intensive course that will be held in SDA Bocconi on July 15-17, 2013.

All participants will receive feedbacks and helpful comments for the improvement of their idea from the selection team.

The three days spent with the prominent industry experts at SDA Bocconi (senior faculty members of Master in Fashion, Experience and Design management) will bring you up-to-date with the most recent industry trends in terms of strategy, branding, customer needs analysis. The program is also designed to provide participants with necessary analytical frameworks and examples that allow them to understand the key underlying factors to launch a new venture. Program participants will be introduced to the “real-life” success stories through discussions of case studies and wide interaction in class.

The initiative is part of the Milano Summer School organized by the Municipality of Milan, which involves a number of universities and schools in Milan offering courses to students from all over the world during summer. Milano Summer School will offer to the participants an interesting "social program" with cultural events around the city.

Fashion Camp & other stories in Milan

Yesterday has been a very busy day!

Morning

Exams and meetings at work

2pm

I participated at the event "Idee per un mondo come piace a te: Come rendere sostenibili i nostri consumi?about responsible fashion during the event promoted by Connie Hedegaard, Responsible for the Climate Action European Commission.
I was glad to meet:
Mike Barry, Marks&Spencer
Rossella Ravagli, Gucci
Giusy Bettoni, Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainabe Synergy (C.L.A.S.S)

Reiner Hengstmann, Puma
Mohamed Samir, Procter&Gamble / A.I.S.E
Jonas Eder-Hansen, Nordic Fashion Association - NICE was also there!
It has been actually a very interesting table with a lot of questions from the public regarding the responsibility of the brands and the need for more information for the consumers.

4pm
I participated at the Fashion Camp for my book presentation.
If you are interested here is the interview on the Fashion Camp blog, and below the video interview we did after the speech at the barcamp (in Italian).
