Of course there is also room for criticism and sustainable fashion, with its glamorous recycling, sewing and environmental laboratories to carry out its self wardrobe.
"Critical Fashion" will host actors that combine small-scale handcraft and social work.

Events: L'Oréal Cosmetique Active_bloggers week-end

That of February 12-13 for many Italian bloggers who write about cosmetics has been a relaxing and interesting week-end thanks to L'Oréal Cosmetique Active division: we talked about of some hot topics such as prevention of skin aging, environmental sustainability, the revolution of retail formats. For example did you know that the pharmacy channel in the last three years has been performing better than all other channels? (pharmacy: +3.7% 2010vs2009; mass market: -2.2% 2010vs2009, perfumery: +0.7% 2010vs2009; coiffeur: +0,1% 2010vs2009)*. The pharmacy - even for natural and organic products - is becoming the main point of sale for health-conscious consumers who care about environmental protection as well.
For those of you who share with me the strong interest in cosmetics here are some interesting blogs and sites:

Clean Clothes Campain

The Clean Clothes Campaign has appealed to the producers of jeans and governments to stop the blasting of denim. Blasting (sandblasting) is a technique based on "shooting" the sand on the fabric of the jeans to give them a more "experienced" and therefore more attractive. This technique is often carried out in small laboratories in countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, China, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico, where almost all jeans sold in Europe are made. But the use of sandblasting is endangering the lives of thousands of workers that, breathing silica dust present in the sand, have the risk of contracting an acute form of silicosis, a fatal disease.
For this reason, the Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC) in collaboration with the Committee of Solidarity of Workers in Turkey Blasting (Sandblasting of Labourers Solidarity Committee), asked producers of jeans to ensure that the blasting is removed from the production process, and launches a viral campaign to put pressure on the Italian fashion houses that use this technology in their products.
